Icons, style guidelines and final artwork of printed labels and panels for Manfrotto professional and semi-professional videocamera remote control units.
Process
We worked on the interface of these control units to give unity to a product range while also following (and extending, where relevant) existing Manfrotto brand guidelines. The main issues were ensuring immediate recognition and familiarity for professional video operators (which involved researching icons used for the same functions on professional camcorders) so that speed of use of the control units wasn't sacrificed. The embedded electronics of the units themselves were developed for Manfrotto by Ventis who were unfailingly helpful during the design process.
